The Ultraviolet Protection Factor rating measures how much protection a fabric provides from UV rays. A rating of UPF 50+ is the highest possible rating that a fabric can earn, meaning the fabric effectively blocks 98% of rays that can be harmful to the skin.
Please note that all fabrics will lose some of the UV protection over time, and as such, use of a sunscreen is still recommended.
What is your fabric content? Our fabric is made from 78% ECONYL® regenerated nylon and 22% elastane.
We work in partnership with The Healthy Seas foundation and Aquafil. Since 2013, Healthy Seas has pulled over 450 tons of fishing nets from the oceans which are transformed into ECONYL® yarn by Aquafil and then spun into our super soft recycled fabric. As part of our commitment to conservation, we are excited to offer rashguards that help to reduce the number of abandoned fishing nets in the marine environment.
Additional recycled content in our rashgurads comes from carpet fluff, tulle, etc.
Where are your rashguards made?
All of our rashguards are made in the USA! We are proud to work with an American manufacturer that provides comfortable working conditions and living wages to all of its workers.
We import our specially-sourced, regenerated nylon fabric from Italy, but all fabric is printed with our custom patterns and then cut and sewn in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Who are your conservation partners?
At Molidae Design, we are committed to conservation and giving back to conservation and restoration projects around the globe.
A portion of every sale will go directly to the "Healthy Seas, a journey from waste to wear" initiative to continue their efforts to remove dangerous, abandoned fishing nets from the ocean! Since 2013, Healthy Seas has removed more than 450 tons of ghost nets helping to reduce threats to our oceans and marine life.

How do your rashgurads fit? Are they true to size?
Our rashguards run true to size and are designed with a relaxed fit. The fabric has a four-way stretch for comfort and forgiveness in fit. If you prefer a slimmer, close-to-body fit, we recommend sizing down. Please reference the size chart below for additional details
